  1. Hello
I would name my battlesnail Gary, in reference to the snail in SpongeBob SquarePants.
    Thanks for this contest.

  4. Mine would be Sludge MacKenzie, because every day is a party when you have a giant snail.

  5. Oh, that's a contest worth participating in!

I'd certainly name mine Hammer, because he snails it.

  6. A pet battle snail.

I would go with "Flash" as a name partly because anyone having battle snails has got to be a bit flash and it also indicates a sense of swiftness.

  7. I'd certainly call my battle snail Sir Speedy. Irony trumps all here.

    Lovely models and great idea.

  9. My battlesnail would be called: Tiberius "Destroyer of Worlds" Balthazar. His shell would be cover in runes and sigils painted in the blood of his victims.

  11. I'd call mine Wensley Snail. I know. It's a bit cheesy... :)

  12. Powell. The name sounds ordinary enough, but Powelliphanta is the scientific name of a large, carniverous species of snail!

  13. Top row

I would go with "Shelldon Lightfoot" I love a little bit of Big Bang Theory and I'm picturing the snail calvalry able to deal with any intervening terrain!

  14. Brian because of the magic roundabout and quotes like "Snails are under estimated,"

  15. Shelly the slug, as named by the intelligent looking sort holding the battlesnail's reins.

  16. My snail's name would be Mucous. Easy.

  17. Ill call my snail: "Waste Cleaner". Because snails may eat everything they "snail on", but battle Snail shall definetly clean and devour everything on wasteland...!!!

  18. Maybe Flaily - I'd attach maces to his antennae and pretend he was a Flailsnail

  19. Bottom row please

My snail would be called Stabatha Christie, because like her namesake:

    1. She was a voracious reader (of entrails) from an early age.

    2. She co-wrote her first play, "The Blue Shell of Unhappiness" with her childhood friend, Molluscinia Woolf.

    3. She had a psychic mother who predicted her marriage, (and bitter divorce) to her first husband, Archibald Limpet. The divorce was long supposed to be the catalyst for her famed disappearance, (or as one paper speculated, to frame her husband for her death), however as we now know, this was her sabatical to the Beneathiverse.

    4. She is also a classy Dame (DBE) and a bad mother fucker (BMF).

  20. Battlesnails? Wouldn't they be a bit sluggish? Sorry, I just couldn't resist that one...

  21. Speedy, as that was the name of "pet" snail my sister and I had in the garden one year.

  22. My own Battlesnail...

I've given this a lot of thought. With an emboldening emphasis on speed, and also a forthrightness about it's less savory tendencies... "Snot Rocket". "Snot" for short. Works for male or female, right? Are they hermaphroditic? Doesn't matter. "Snot Rocket". 8)
