Terrain from miscasts

Ramshackle Games has some miscasts that you can buy VERY cheap! Mostly it is often just postage you pay. Some are actually not that bad and can be easily used for a ramshackle vehichle (oun intended). And some are really bad. Two of those are picture in the above picture. As terrain pieces they are really great, just let the imagination run wild...Failing that...Google it!

I think it fits pretty good in  a wasteland/apocalypse/wartorn setting when painted. The barel is from another company...Actually not sure which at the moment. And the model is from games workshop as a scale reference. Curtis the cultist will feature as a scale reference from now on.

All these tires are miscasts and absolutely brilliant for making a barricade! I think I will add a spot of grass or flowers here and there on the bases. You can be sure there will be more to come on the terrain from like this. I realised I had a box of miscasts that I forgot about! 2 vehicles are being made from this and still more bits to make shelter in some form or barricades.

Old guys still kicking ass! A small revival of a metal band that made an influence early on in my taste of music. Last time I saw them perform is about 20 years ago I think!!!

The ones that won my little competition has their prizes coming in the mail. With a bit of luck! Looking forward to their take on the miniatures! I dug out all my Ramshackle miniatures to see what I actually had. Yet another project! But they fit nicely with the setting I am working on right now, so they have been incorporated. No pics of them right now as several will be repainted.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to paint more models!!!

  1. Using miscasts for terrain is always a great idea, especially if they come at the price of a postage! The barrel is probably from fenris game, I was kinda blind when picking them and bought those instead of wooden ones I actually wanted!

Cheers for the mail, will make sure I catch a postman of guard and they're first on the list to do! :D

  3. They look great mate. I've seen a lot of impressive stuff done with Curtis's miscasts.

@Coglar its like getting a box of miscast bitz not so much buying a particular product.

    1. Basic black as undercoat, games workshop tinbits in patches. Dab a bit silver on. Paint colour of vehichle a bit sloppy around. No fancy technique...

    1. I have alot of extra bits. Care for a swap? You have made some excellent terrain for the inside of houses.
