Let us go back...To the underhive !

Seeing as I made a trade with my WARMACHINE models to NECROMUNDA models, I jumped right in and started the madness of painting them. But before I go on, I must tell you a bit of this ....

Necromunda is a campaign based skirmish game by GAMES WORKSHOP. Set in the deepest and darkest pit of despair under a great spire which houses the living of the planet Necromunda. The deeper down you get, you have gangwar, monsters, religious fanatics and even the spoiled brats from the higher classes, going on a joyhunt for the thrill of killing. Gather your warriors, arm them and be prepared to fight every second, you never know what is around the corner. Make some deal, backstab, do the dirty trick before the opponent does it to you!

This game.....Daaaamn I have put alot of hours into it! But for almost a decade I have done nothing. Even selling of most of my gangs. Now that I have alot of the models again, the spark within ignites.

These are the ones I got from the trade. Pitslaves, Van Saar gang, hired guns and wyrds, Spyrer team... I have my Orlock gang which need repainting too. And plague  zombies too. These are the ones that have been painted so far:

Quite pleased with the result so far. I just need to figure out how I want to base them. Next on my todo list is the Spyre team and I think the zombies need a redo.

In the middle of June I will be going to London with Lone for 4 days. So much looking forward to enjoying London with my girlfriend. I will be turning 40 on the 14th so have planned not to be in my own country that day. It is just a number really. Have some things planned already. Tate museum, Covent garden, dinner and a show. Oh and actually a meetup with one of the guys behind the game of ACROSS THE DEAD EARTH Mike Chappell. He works in London as it happens so we will meet with him over a pint or two.

  2. Necromunda and Bloodbowl were two of the best games GW ever produced. I still have all of my Necromunda figures and scenery, and I would never part with them. Well done, Johnny for getting back into this excellent game. Let us know how you get on with it.

And I'm jelly because of the London trip - have fun! Also, make sure you see the British museum and the Natural history one. I could be visiting those over and over again :D. And Imperial War museum :P

  6. Nice to see you reviving old games dude.
This and Bloodbowl are the best of GW, seems a shame they don't support them.

  7. Necromunda was a fun game, and typical of GW they shut it down. Its a shame they don't support their "smaller" games.

Have a great time in London, its one those places I want to visit someday.

  8. Doesn't "deep and dark pit of despair" describe *all* of GW's games :-) ? Having said that, I do know that Necromunda is rated as one of their best, though I've never tried it myself.
