I have ben busy! Visiting frinds in other parts of the country, heavy metal concert, rennaiccance fair, gaming Deadzone, gaming Spacemarine crusader, enjoying the sun, working late!
Where to start.... Well Mantic games Kickstarter project DEADZONE have finished. Going well over 1 million dollars and a fantastic amount of scenery, models and tweaking the rules for a better play. You could get the alpha rules free and try them out. Based on the responses the made the beta rules we are currently playing. Which I rather enjoy. And I really can not wait untill we get the game and those lovely models! Should get shipped in december.
My homemade board. The models I have used for this is 2 abominations from Zombiecide to represent generation 2 plague, and a mix of gw plastic to make 3rd genration plague models. The Enforcers are Imperial guard with some forgeworld parts thrown in. Bulkheads are from Necromunda. And some barricades from Ramshackle games. It works quite well.
A day was taken out of the calendar to go on a roadtrip and meet some friends about 200 km from where I live. Playing Dunger Derby, painting miniatures, eating cake, enjoying to see he difference it makes to take an industrial hen and giving it a free range life! I am amazed that we actually commit animal cruelty just in order to get our eggs a bit cheaper! Lina and Stefan gets hold of the hens before they are chopped up and used as fodder instead. Pale and with almost no feathers on they give them a life in the sun, with planty of room and able to scrape in the dirt and ...well to act like the hens they are!
My Deadzone proxies as work in progress and behind you see my mate Mortens Gothic spacehulk for his orks!
Here is a small video from the Reannaissance fair. Again with some good fights, music, mead and all you would ask! A really nice day together with my beautifull girlfriend Lone. She was the one who took this video with her phone.
So yeah...I have not died and turned into a zombie! I am still around with far too many projects at the same time! Sigh.....Story of my life really...I think I will never get better at it. Just too many things I want to do. Ooooh....Shiny! I must have that model! And so forth... Yes I am a member of SMS. (Shiny Model Syndrome) One of the founding members actually.
How pleasent. You must have had a good time.
SvarSletIndeed! Time not wasted mate
SletLooks good to skint to participate in the ks shame really. Bet the eggs where yummy you certainly can tell the difference. My ma n pa sometimes bring back fresh eggs from a farm by there caravan and they taste the best and usually double yoked!
SvarSletAbsolutely! Better taste and actually better looking yoke!
SletYou've done an excellent job on your deadzone set-up.
SvarSletI can't help thinking though, like many games I'm currently seeing that it's a bit of a hybrid between a wargame and a boardgame. I couldn't say for sure whether that's a good or a bad thing, but who cares so long as it's enjoyable?
Enjoyable indeed in my book. Zombiecide is one of these hybrids I love so much as well. And Spacehulk, bloodbowl, dreadball....
SletSound like you've been busy??
SvarSletBusy in a good way mate!
SletBusy and fruitful time my friend, my missus does the same thing for ex battery hens.
SvarSletYour missus have a heart of gold! Give her my best!
SletI know what its like, I haven't posted a blog in almost six months! Where does the time go.
SvarSletI love your board set up. Perhaps it could look a little dirtier and worn, but it is very impressive. I'm jealous.
Renn fairs are cool ideas. I'd like to attend one some day.
A good "Deadzone" board. I shall start making mine to be ready in December. I am also looking forward to it. The "Beta" rules were tried at my club over the weekend and the guys said they enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing and AAR or two.
