I keep a tidy ship!

Unfortunately I do not work on a ship. My hobby place seem to explode at times. Some times....Most times....Very often! You see, I know what my problem is. Too many projects, too many ideas. Never enough time to do them. I reeeaaally need to organize my hobby a bit more! And to finish some of those damn projects!

Gravesend. The city that will not stay dead! I have some more pieces of terrain now. Forgot to take a better picture of that. But the streets....Sigh. In order to do something about that I bought WORLDWORKS streets of legend. Now I just need to print out and make them ofcourse, but it will greatly improve on Gravesend.

Angel of mercy hospital. Juuuust about to finish the zombie staff from Grekwood miniatures. The hospital itself..... I need to dedicate some time JUST for this.

The Teacups. My Praetorian guard for Warhammer 40k. Still working on those. Have organized the miniatures into squads and was amazed I actually have a decent army now!

Khador. My faction in the game of Warmachine. Just got hold of some new miniatures dirt cheap!

Oh and in about 6 days...My birthday. I am trying to fit everything together here. On top of this are this blog and the brilliant zombiegamer community behind it. I have just send packages to 3 of my fellow bloggers to help out. I have recieved alot from other bloggers as well.

Still working on this truck I got from Lead legion.
And you will notice the lovely trees in the background! Those came from down under courtesy of Shelldrake. I need to take a better picture of them. They were based in bottlecaps just like my flowers.

First miniature done from the bunch of goodies I got from a very good friend!!! It is from Reaper miniatures and is part of the Gamer pack. The t-shirt says : HULK SMASH. He has a long ponytail. Lovely miniature. Any idea what I should name him?

  1. Most hobby desks are described as cluttered 80-90% of thier existance. Its part of the hobby. Your projects are looking good though. The gamer guy reminds me of the comic book store owner in the Simpsons, Jeff Alberson.

  2. A gamer's work desk should like cluttered and messy with junk all over the place. It's how we operate. To outsiders it may look a mess but to us it is organised chaos, if that isn't an oxymoron.

I have the ponytailed student painted up and I was also struck with the similarity between him and comic book guy from the Simpsons. Anyway, I'd call him Tony Pale. It's a Spoonerism of pony-tail.

By the way, congrats on getting Streets of Legend. They are my favourite WWG TLX set. They will make a HUGE difference to your gaming board.

  3. Nice looking workspace. Not too cluttered I don't think.
It's easy to get distracted by other projects, especially when you catch a glimpse of new miniatures you weren't aware of.
Nice to see the Sarissa buildings coming together. Do you plan on painting them? The trees bring up the terrain nicely too.

What do you have planned for the hospital. I would like to make one, but need interior terrain, which I am not aware of anyone producing it.

    1. I am indeed thinking on painting the buildings.

Black cat bases do a bit of interior for labs.

  4. I think everybody's workspace gets cluttered, some. It's good to have lots of projects going so we don't get bored with one. :) That ruck from Lead Legion is very nice. I love billboard advert on the trailer, and your trees from Shelldrake look great too. I love the idea of using the bottle caps for potted plants and trees, brilliant.

  5. Happy birthday when it comes. That truck is looking great. Call him Svelbard - because it's the kind of name a geek guy called Egbert, Reginald or Clive would choose for himself.

  6. Reginald! There is something about that name hehe!

    Cheers mate!

  7. I have only 2 houses I am painting at the moment on my desk and I dare not sculpt before I finish those, so don't believe them Johnny, you, too can have a tidy desk! (Shove it all in the drawers!)

WWG roads sound delicious, maybe you should start with those? I played a game yesterday and I found out having such a nice roads is a good motivation to get minies AND other terrain painted, because having unpainted lead and cork on my table hurts my eyes :P.
