Rainy Sunday...

15 mm scifi game called Grunts have taken some of my time. Easy to learn rules and I practically had an army lying around. I have my eyes on miniatures that try to claim the small amount of money I have. Le sigh... What you see here in the picture is some of the army I have. Being based. They stand better this way and look cooler. The bases are from TIGER our version of the british Poundland I guess. It is actually from the game of 4 IN A ROW. 42 counters equals 42 bases for 10 DKR. (About 1 pound). They now have sand on the base and getting some paint. This tuesday will see me battling with them again. And perhaps getting more from our club into this little game.

News from Gravesend. From my last blogpost you saw some of the terrain I bought. Well here is some of it painted! I actually painted it last Sunday. Pretty easy to do. And again I highly recommend them. At some time in the near future I may well purchase from them again.

A lot of bloggers have been to SALUTE. Oh how I envy them! Next year I may try to make it there. Alas...Here I am in rainy Denmark. With a backache. (The back is getting better though). And the Soccer team I have as my favorite lost yesterday.  On the bright side I recieved the book WILL YOU SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE? By Max Brallier which I recently won over at Vampifan`s blog . Again thank you both Max and Bryan. I have gone through 10 scenarioes now and had more than a few laughs about it! Being stuck on the arm of the Statue of Liberty, becoming a Hells Angel member, meeting George A. Romero just to mention some of them. If you do NOT have the book then go get hold of it now! I love it! It takes me back to of my early years with books in the world of Dungeons And Dragons. "If you choose to fight the goblins turn to page 5. If you want to run away turn to page 281." Absolutely brilliant!!!! Oh and talking of things on the bright side, I am currently enjoying a Duncan Taylor OCTAVE whisky as I type this blog entry. Mmmm.... Some parts of life are quite good! I will leave you now as I toast to your good health and high dice rolling! It is still pouring down outside but I sit quite good here on the inside!

Oh and by the way...A quick and blurry picture of my gaming table! This is not a messy table..I know exactly where my things are!!!!

  1. What an excellent idea with the 15mm bases! I have a bunch of those from a Poundland (I was going to use them for tank wheels but everything went South on that idea)... I can now base my Protolenes just like yours :).

    Cheers!

  9. Nice, love your idea for the bases. I'm with you over the Salute thing. I'm envious of those that went and want to go next year. As alot of the gang said it's putting names to faces.
